Tigers Gizmo and Obi arrived at Top Of The Rock Wildlife Sanctuary on September 13, 2011. They came from a sanctuary in San Antonio, TX that has closed. We have welcomed them both, into our sanctuary and into our hearts.
This is a short video of excerpts of Gizmo enjoying his first time in the big playground. Gizmo loves the thick grass, laying in the water, annoying dogs and playing while his enclosure is being cleaned.
Top Of The Rock is a No Buy, No Sell, No Breed, No Exhibit sanctuary. If you would like to assist in the care of the wildlife, at NWHS' Top Of The Rock Sanctuary: http://www.humanewildlife.org/support.html
Gizmo is now almost at optimum weight, but needs some muscle building.
High protein and exercise will accomplish this.
He's a pretty easy going tiger. He loves constant attention lol
He likes being spoiled

I'll bet he would, but not going to risk it ;)
No one, ever goes inside with any of them.. Never... Since we are not a public exhibition place, no one even comes in the sanctuary. It is theirs, and they don't have to perform, be shown or do anything for public. They have peace and quiet, and are allowed to just be themselves.
I can scratch his ears safely, over the enclosure gate and he loves that. He also turns around so I can scratch the base of his tail. He humps his back up, to push against my hand like any other cat would. I am very careful though. I never forget for 1 second that these are tigers.
