Good afternoon ladies. Cute lion pic Gayle.

Our friends Chuck and Sue, who anchored with us Little Shark River (Everglades) and ran with us to Marathon, have returned from the Bahamas and are coming back to the marina we're in, on their way back up to the North Florida Panhandle. It will be nice to see them again.
Since we now have a car here, we can give them a ride to the supermarket, laundramat, etc. They have been aboard their boat for months, with no car, so this will help them until they get home. They still have a few hundred miles to go.

I've always wanted to go to the Bahamas where the water is so blue, and clear, Patrick. Will be nice to help your friends out getting them to laundromat, and store for groceries when they get there. Cool diving Gannet. I've been thinking about Gizmo lately.

Good afternoon ladies. Looks like rain here tonight, so I may not be able to get tonight's sunset photos. Oh well, it can't always be sunny in paradise, lol.Cute cheetah cub Mary, and adorable puffin Gayle. That's a wet tiger Ruth. Tigers do love water.

Not sure how much longer this site will be open, seems like they would have noticed the NWHS account has been changed (lost my wallet and NWHS credit card). I'm sure they'll eventually notice it. We can just keep meeting here, and voting, until we can't LOL.

My friends who just came back from 5 weeks in the Bahamas (Exumas) have some incredible photos. They want to go back this fall or early winter. Maybe we'll see them down there.

I have been thinking a lot about Gizmo as well Ruth. He only lasted 6 weeks after we relocated him. :( ... I can't say he would have been alright with us, because they said he had a large tumor on the brain. At least his last 11 years (half his life) was spent with me, and he was a pampered boy.

I also deeply miss our pet cats and 2 dogs, and can't get any definitive feedback on them. I can only hope they are alive and being treated well.

We've had a few rain storms, just enough to make this tropical heat be very humid. It will get a lot hotter before fall too. LOL. We knew that going into this thing. We have lived in Florida before. However, these islands are so beautiful, the heat is worth it.
