Yes another reason to NOT run in an administrator account, Patrick ...
Need I say any more?

I had 2 crashes in the last 3 months and am thinking seriously of putting
another OS on my machine as backup ... like say, Ubuntu, so that if
Windows quits on me again, I will still get online ... but I have yet to test if
that Wubi Installer will actually know about my very advanced hardware.
Stay tuned. :)

E-Postcards.
Rather than making a thread, which few will read, I will just add it here. Robert can paste it into a new thread if deemed important.

Since I am so visible on the net (with many websites and "click to email") I see a lot of scams and links to get trojans. The newest and most prevalent being the E-Post card.

"Click link to view post card". Yes, it says a friend has sent you this.. A real one will say which friend, usually by proper name. I just received one, and didn't open it. I clicked Properties, then view source.

The link was a url using an IP number with a file ending in .exe. So, I nabbed the IP# and ran a check. It was from the Netherlands (a common origin of hackers). I surmised it wasn't real (I wouldn't have opened nor clicked anyway) and deleted it.

Who will I open an E-Postcard from? No One. My PC is too important to me to take any risks, So, don't be offended if you send me an E-Postcard and I don't reply. Just send me an email and say what you want there.

Thanks..

I also changed the "group image" ... I like the one of the gal on the laptop
better - and she's a LOT cuter than a computer with chains on it! :)

Anyone who has ever had a virus or even thinks they do should be here
