Unfortunately a lot of people feel that way. If it is not a regular dog cat or goldfish, then they think people shouldn't have it. Ferrets, hedgehogs and other more unusual pets end up getting banned.

Well most of the animals we want are "not fit for pets" according to my in-laws. If it's not a cat or dog then it's not a pet. And the dogs have to stay outside. Good thing I don't live with them. Maybe that why my hubby is like me with wanting to own lots of critters, large & small - because he was repressed as a child. lol

hi folks...I want a chameleon(probably spelled different) ....i used to have 3 iguanas named Eyolis, Dino , and Sampson..they got out of the cage I made everyday, I think I will have to ask Pat about better cage security haha.

Discussion of little know animal species and species that simply don't seem to "fit the mold" is excellent subject matter for a discussion group.
