I have been on baby bird rescue patrol all summer. 5 out of 7 baby birds made it to flight and went on the live out their lives. It wasn't easy! Baby birds think the ground is safe and it is NOT. I have one dog that will chomp on them and the other brings them to me gently in his mouth so the "killer dog" won't get to them. I covered nests with garbage bags when the large hail storms hit - I moved the babies to higher shrubs for safety - I had to get two back from the neighbor's yard and bring them back here to be safe...I worked as hard as the parent birds!
