RIP Macho B

  • Rating: 5 after 1 vote
Macho B didn't have a chance. People wanted to know so much, the efforts to trap him (twice) for collaring and tracking was too much for him. They euthanized him. What's the truth? He was an older guy, just trying to live and let live. A threat to no one.

It is a story that made me sad and mad at the same time. He was in the twilight years of his life, wandering about alone and (by the photos) eating well. They were seeing him in the camera traps, and he was staying in the general area. That should have been sufficient for any studies. They should have just let him be.

After the second capture they euthanized him. I think that was a cover up for incompetence
