Are they doing it illegally? If they have government business licenses to conduct these ventures, and operate within the laws, there's not much (sadly) that can be done. However, there is current legislation at the US federal level, to put African lions on the US endangered species act (ESA) which means hunters who shoot a lion in Africa, won't be able to bring a trophy hide or head home. That will curtail lion hunts considerably.
