On April 12, 2009 we opened a You Tube account for NWHS. We had only one youtube which was uploaded on a long time friend's account. It was getting some good hits, so we then (at the urging of other friends) opened the NWHS account. We uploaded the same presentation there, with a few small changes.
It continues to get hits on both accounts.
We have uploaded 2 more presentations, one of them being for Earth Day. One might even call it an "anti-Earth Day" because it advocates (in strong visuals and poetry) "Earth Day Every Day". Humans cannot compensate for a year's worth of apathy by recognizing the importance of our planet only one day a year.
What is more important than the very planet that all known life inhabits?
The priorities of some humans are certainly misguided.
We also uploaded a presentation on Touch The Jungle, which NWHS is a participating supporter, with plans to move to an even more aggressive plan for assisting this awesome program that is indeed saving real rainforest. If our blue and green planet can be viewed as a single complex organism, and all parts the organs, then the rainforests of the world are indeed "the lungs". Let us hope and pray that humans can find a way to represent "the heart" of our small and vulnerable world.
We applied for approval for nonprofit status with YouTube/Google, and was subsequently approved a week later. This account level gives NWHS some nice benefits. Custom page graphics, extra links, and a link to accept donations through a program Google has set up for 501-c3 nonprofit charities.
We would like all members of Wildlife Community Network to explore what NWHS is doing with this new outreach avenue, and assist if possible. Please click to Subscribe if you have a YouTube account, and feel free to add NWHS as a Friend.
NWHS considers the members of WCN as friends anyway, so let's roll on this YouTube effort and see just how far we can make it go!
